NEW ZEALAND.day ONE 17/18nov friday/saturday SINGAPORE/BRISBANE/AUCKLANDthe flight was scheduled to fly at 9. nel & merv were really nice to sms me goodbye(: there somehow was some delay so we set off a little late. i was like the only person i shirt and shorts. like secone lifeskills camp tee plus fbts. and the only person without jacket. (i have high tolerance for cold-according to Hui MinXD) -blahblah- plane took off (yes issac the taking off is the coolest part!) -blahblah- dinner was served at 10pm. i had actually requested for the kiddymeal beforehand. so i got the kiddymeal. the air steward was looking at me weirdly when he served me the food :D the flight was like singapore to brisbane to auckland. singapore to brisbane was like 8hrs flight i think. watched 2 movies, and spent the rest of the time eating and trying to sleeo. in the end i managed to fall asleep for like 1hr. got woken up for breakfast, which i thought was far too early for. but they were going according to local-aussie-time. it was around 6.30am. so we had to eat breakfast anyway. after breakfast couldn't really sleep. landed after around 1hr. had ard 1hr to stonewhile waiting for our flight to auckland. that flight was 2.5hrs. slept quite well for most of it. breakfast was served AGAIN on thios flight, but i didnt eat as i was asleep.-blahblah- arnd 4pm NZ time, got down, changed into jeans, cleared customs, got out of airport. THE WEATHER WAS SOOOOO PERFECT!! i think it was ard 17-18degrees. it was like just nice to walk in jeans & teeshirt! no need for jacket! took at taxi to our hostel. it cost us like 60BUCKS?! and NZ$ is bigger than S$. imagine taking a taxi in singapore and it costing more that $60?! for a half an hour trip!the meter was like jumping by 20cents per second. ouch. anyway. after we checked in, we went grocery shopping. guess what. we spent 60BUCKS AGIAN. if it was in singapore the stuff we bought would have at most cost us like $20-30. the cost of living here is real high. went back to our room(apartment). it's quite new and pretty and rather reasonably priced. 2 rooms with queensized bed each, dining table, sofa, tv, kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and all cooking utensils provided. and of course a toilet. quite okay right. walked around the places near the hotel. the hotel is in central auckland. nothing much to see. mostly buildings and buildngs. evening's colder. still wearing the same things, but now a jacket is needed. my guess is that it's ard 14-16degrees now. it's 8.15pm and still daylight. it's SUMMER BAYBEH. brr if summer is this vold i wonder what winter'll be like! actually must thanks God for giving us such nice weather. it's been raining rather heavily for the past few days and even weeks, but nothing since we arrived. back at home, we go indoors to escape the heat- here we run indoors to escape the cold!:D
